Paper Taxidermy Birds Housed In Vintage Tins by Colette Bain

Colette Bain is an artist based in North Lancashire. The self-taught artist has been working on a series of paper taxidermy birds for her brand Emma's Wolf. She named her business after her daughter's name and her obsession for wolves. Colette created her very first paper mache piece for her daughter and it was obviously a wolf. She enjoyed the process so much that she started making things for friends using ephemera, old broken toys and faded tins.

Fast forward today, she is creating beautiful unique paper mache bird sculptures that are hand-painted and housed inside vintage tins. The artist paints tins with trees, mountains, and beautiful skies that provide just the perfect background to her birds.

You can find her work at the upcoming Christmas Exhibition at Galerie Handwerk, Munich from Nov 27th to Dec 28th 2019.  To see more work by the artist go to Instagram.

Adorable Illustrations Will Make You Fall In Love With Cold Days

Madison Safer is an illustrator based in New Hampshire. She graduated with a degree in BFA in Illustration from Montserrat College of Art. She paints whimsical characters, flora and fauna that would transport one to their childhood days. Her paintings are inspired by Eastern European art, Russian folk art, and the enchanting woods of the New England.

Her work also gets influenced by the patterns and designs of vintage Victorian postcards, and classic children's books which one can see in her work that invokes nostalgia. She works with a variety of mediums for her work. She starts a painting with a layer of watercolor, and then adds details on it with gouache, colored pencil and crayons to get the perfect texture.

The shown paintings are from her Winter collection featuring anthropomorphic animals cuddling under the blanket, hanging lights on the tree, drinking tea with pastries, and indulging in hot bath.

You can find these paintings as art prints, stickers, cards and pins in her online store.

Bright Ceramics Accented With Deep Gold by Odarya Darya

Odarya Darya is a ceramic artist based in Russia who has an account on Instagram where she shares her new creations with her over 72K followers. She sculpts amazing ceramics including plates, bowls, spoons and fruits with irregular shapes and finished with rough edges.

I am swooning over her richly glazed pomegranates, strawberries, cherries and figs. Imagine a fall table decorated with these little beauties. Her nature inspired work is full of bright colors and accents of deep gold that gives her pieces an elegant look. It was a hard task to pick only a few pieces to share in this post, there's not one piece that I like more than the other. Visit her on Instagram and see what I mean, I bet you'll be lost for hours browsing her posts. Enjoy!
