Owl No.1 for $20

Owl No. 1 by Lisa Congdon

132 Birds at The American Museum of Natural History by Jason Polan

Birds of the Pacific Northwest by Laura Levine

Jen Bekman is a gallerist and curator who came up with a great idea of offering two pieces of affordable art per week at 20x200.com. Their motto is to make art available to everyone at a price which they won't mind paying. They provide with high quality art prints in three different sizes at three different prices starting at $20. That's right, $20!

They even have their own formula:
(limited editions x low prices) + the internet = art for everyone

That's so cool! A win-win situation for everyone involved.

Mr. Wise Owl of Tootsie Roll

Tootsie Roll Industries aired a television commercial in 1970 featuring a boy asking various animals: a cow, a fox and a turtle, how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. None of them can resist to bite a Tootsie pop and the boy was told to ask his question to someone else. Eventually, he asks an owl, a wise owl, who starts licking the lollipop, and answers three. But eventually gives into temptation and bites into the lollipop. The point was that the world will never know the answer because no one can wait that long to get to the center of one!

I found some great merchandise of Mr. Wise Owl at Tootsie online store: dog hoodie, key chain, tin lunch box, coin purse and divide tray.
