Happy Valentine's day everyone! Today's freebie is the "owl be your valentine" candy wrapper by Lisa Storms which is an easy and cute idea for anyone who has waited until the last-minute for Valentines. Simply print, cut and wrap them around Hershey miniatures chocolate bars. Who doesn't like Hershey. Right? Each print out will give you total of eight owls, two of each color. And what’s best is that you can personalize them right before you cut them. Enjoy!

I feel that it's kind of impossible to miss anything new by Skip Hop. Their products instantly gain popularity and get featured all over the blogosphere. The already to-die-for Zoo collection had a recent addition of cute 4 piece toddle bedding set in owl, ladybug and monkey designs. Each set comes with pillow sham, comforter, fitted sheet & flat sheet. There are also soft and cuddly matching pillows which you'll have to buy separately. The best part about the pillows is that there is slot at the back for your little ones favorite book! All available here.
But wait, there's more! The Zoo reusable sandwich & snack bag set will continue to keep your child a company when they are in the park, pre-school or on-the-go. There are five sets to choose from (hard choice, they are all so sweet) - owl, ladybug, bee, dog and monkey. Grab'em from here.

I stumbled across some new body illustrations by Emma Hack whose work I have featured in the past. "My real passion is to create my own backgrounds" says the artist.
Trivia: Did you know that Emma bodypainted Gotye and Kimbra for the “Somebody That I Used to Know” video? I love that song!

Midori Takaki is a ceramist born in Japan now working from Canterbury, England, UK. Her ceramics are inspired by her childhood imagination, memories, feelings, thoughts and stories, "I call them my journal. I am writing in ceramics" she says. Her thoughts found life through her ceramic sculptures of animals, owls, rabbits, and human figures and masks.
"By doing that, I file the information, which is, otherwise, difficult to classify, in drawers in my brain. I could bring every nuance and detail of my memories, stories, emotion and thoughts, back to life vividly when I see each sculpture."
She has participated in solo and group exhibitions. Her work can be seen currently at the exhibition Dealers' Vaults at Mascalls gallery, Paddock wood, Kent till February, 22. Visit her website for more information and her online gallery to view more of her work.

Award-winning photographer Tim Flach captures stunning human-like portraits of animals from owls to bats to pandas in his book titled More Than Human. The images highlight the physical characteristics of the menagerie of creatures and aim to illuminate the relationship between human and non-human animals by conveying the raw emotion of each species.
"His stated mission is to create images that provoke questions about our relationships with other species and “our attitude, and responsibilities, toward the natural world.”
It's simply gorgeous, I have never seen anything like this before. The hardcover book consists of about 300 pages containing large and astoundingly sharp images which bring us into “unnatural proximity” with the creatures from the wild such as bats, owls. This book is a great addition to any animal lover's collection or someone who is interested in the natural world. You can find the book and order it from here.
