Claire Morgan: Amazing Suspended Sculptures

Claire Morgan is a visual artist born in Belfast and now living in London. She graduated in 2003, since then Claire has exhibited internationally, with solo exhibitions in the UK and Europe, and museum shows in US and Australia. She is the creator of these amazing sculptures made from thousands of elements suspended individually with threads. Her work often comprised of  organic materials including taxidermy animals, birds, insect and seeds.

“Animals, birds and insects have been present in my recent sculptures, and I use suspense to create something akin to freeze frames. In some works, animals might appear to rest, fly or fall through other seemingly solid suspended forms. In other works, insects appear to fly in static formations. The evidence of gravity – or lack of it – inherent in these scenarios is what brings them to life, or death.”

You can follow her on Facebook for updates on her new work or to get information on her upcoming exhibitions.

DIY: Fashion Wise Owl Cookies

Dani of 'Sweet Dani B' created these "Fashion Wise" owl cookies for the first time for a friend who hosted a Chanel inspired party. She later shared the tutorial on her blog on how can anyone make their own owl cookies decorated with jewels and pearls. With a little change in the color scheme, these will work great for a bridal shower.

You can find the list of all the materials needed of the project and printable instructions from here.

Owl Teapot, Owl Jar and More

I have featured owl ceramic products before but these are just too cute! I have been seeing tons of bright owl ceramics all over the web and compiled this post with few of my favorite pieces. I don't really have a need for any of these but it's getting really hard for me to resist ordering one of each, especially the owl jar. Which one do you like?

Disc' O' Clocks

These Disc’O’Clocks  have to be the coolest wall clocks I have ever come across.  These clocks are made from old records that are ruined or scratched or have lost their primary function of playing music. Each clock is unique as it's made out of recycled records and that each label differs from the other.

Their website has several fun designs including owl, zebra, cat and characters like King Kong, and many more. View more of their products and the zodiac collection on their website.
