Contemporary Italian Ceramic Artist: Riccardo Biavati

Riccardo Biavati is a ceramist born and working in Ferrara. He has worked for many years in the field of art ceramics and makes the most poetic ceramic sculptures. The pictorial ceramics featuring owls, frogs, moon, birds and figures are influenced by the world of fables that his grandfather shared with him when he was a little boy.

All his pieces are one-of-a-kind. His work has been exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions. He is well-known in Italy for his whimsical sculptures and his work has gained popularity in the USA. He now takes care of artistic direction of La Bottega delle Stelle.
