Apolline à Paris

Paris-based textile artist Apolline creates whimsical dolls, mobiles and brooches. Her work is created by hand using matrials, fabircs, prints and colors, and amazing attention to detail.

What inspired her?
Her two little girls and "her childlike reveries rose a whole little world of coquette dolls, facetious sprites, mysterious fairies charming animals, elegant sweethearts."

These really do conjure up a world, a childhood world: whimsical, strange, full of tiny details and perhaps tinged with a little sadness. I really love them!
