Apolline à Paris






Paris-based textile artist Apolline creates whimsical dolls, mobiles and brooches. Her work is created by hand using matrials, fabircs, prints and colors, and amazing attention to detail.

What inspired her?
Her two little girls and "her childlike reveries rose a whole little world of coquette dolls, facetious sprites, mysterious fairies charming animals, elegant sweethearts."

Second - I ADORE owls! :-)
You had posted pictures from a little girls birthday party - she was turning 2 I believe, and I got the cookie cutter that the grandma had used!!!! My daughter is turning 2 in October and we are doing a fun owl theme!!!!

These really do conjure up a world, a childhood world: whimsical, strange, full of tiny details and perhaps tinged with a little sadness. I really love them!
