Tohato: Packaging Design

Tohato is a Japanese food brand that offers variety of snacks like caramel corn, potato rings, chocolates in star shape, sesame cookies etc. I am sure most of you will agree when I say that Japanese packaging is created not to just hold the food, but to also have a unique quality of cuteness aka "Kawaii".

This cute looking caramel corn packaging - screaming "adorable!" - had all my attention instantly the moment I saw it. There are about 32 designs and each flavor features a cute character with a fun expression.

I am convinced the first image looks like an owl. Do you agree? Some of their products are available here.

Donna Wilson + Rococo Chocolate

Donna Wilson designed these most adorable range of hand-painted eggs for Rococo Chocolates. All are hand painted on white chocolate and backed with a thick dark chocolate layer. The chocolate feature Donna's style of illustration in chick, lamb, rabbit, owl and pussycat designs, beautifully presented in pretty packaging in a Rococo bone china egg cup. These limited edition easter eggs can be pre-ordered on Donna's website.

Perler Beads Owls

I adore these colorful owls made with Perler beads by Flora. I never got a chance to play with these kind of beads when I was a kid because they were not available in India. After seeing these little guys, I am inspired to try making some myself. Did you play with the beads while growing up?
