Valentine's Day is a fun day for kids too, they love to exchange cards with their friends and classmates. There is still time to make a cute little box for your child to collect their Valentine's day messages. There are many projects online with instructions with traditional hearts but I really like the idea of making your favorite animal box. Tiny Prints have shared tutorial to make five Valentine's Day boxes - owl, unicorn, panda, monster and rubik cube. On the same link you'll find template to make each animal box along with the instructions.

For the series "Animal Doodles" he searched on Google for animals and birds images and dressed them in elaborate costumes with his creative imagination.

“The idea was to experiment with doodles of tribal patterns on photographs of animals in the wild. I have always found inspiration in tribal art and off late in African patterns and designs specifically" - via.

Make Towel with Ruffled Feathers Owl Applique Free Pattern

This morning I came across this wonderful applique pattern to make your own owl towels (or to be used for any other kind of your crafty project). This free applique pattern comes in two sizes - one to make 6'' tall owl and a larger 8 1/2'' size owl. The best part about the applique is that you can use the same pattern to make two different owls - side facing and front facing. When I saw this diy, I thought the owl appliqued towels will also be perfect as a Valentine's gift to your mother, sister or a friend. The instructions are pretty simple to follow, find them here.
