Hooked Owl and Other Animals

Mary Stanley is a textile artist who loves to create woodland folk art creatures out of fiber, fabric and recycled materials. I first came across her beautiful hooked owls and cats from her Flickr page.

Her work is inspired by her local surroundings in Santa Barbara, primitive folk art as well as contemporary art.

Donkey & Friends: DIY Lampshades

Donkey & Friends was started in 2012 by Maik Perfahl and Wolfgang List with an objective of creating unique objects at affordable cost. They designed a series of 3D paper models that can be simply cut, folded and glued together to make animals' heads to be used as lampshades, masks or decorative sculptures. The animal menagerie includes owl, donkey, fox, cat, rabbit, penguin and more. Each animal kit comes with a template rolled in a tube with a multi-lingual instruction manual.

The Muu Bear: Knitted Brooch

Unique handmade brooches by Anna of The Muu Bear. Her online store offers owls and birds that are made up of 100% wool (inside and outside), fabric, jute and wooden beads. These are available in more colors, see all of them here.

Mokkasin: Honeycomb Figurines

  

Honey comb figurines are designed by the talented illustrator Ingela P Arrhenius with OMM Design and sold at Mokkasin. Each one of these is adorable and perfect to be used to make paper garland, as a pop up card, decoration on a gift box, for DIY mobile project (like shown here) or mix them up to create a playful scene on a wall. Studio Orijin: Breadboard

How fun are these creative and functional animal shaped breadboard by Sebastian Dorst of Studio Orijin a brand based in Leipzig, Germany. There are three cute designs to choose from - owl, cat and frog. I'm having a hard time deciding which one do I like the most. Do you have a favorite?
