Inspirational Sketchbook Paintings by Jennifer Orkin Lewis


Jennifer Orkin Lewis also known as August Wren is an illustrator and an artist who has been passionate about art since she was only 12 years old. For over four years, she has been working on an ongoing project painting once a day in her sketchbook. She gets inspired by her surroundings and translates it into beautiful art. 

She paints primarily in gouache and watercolor sometimes includes ink, pencil and the marker. Her work is filled with bright colors, lot of small details and lovely patterns. She has worked with Anthropologie, Chronicle Books, Design House Greetings, Flow Magazine, Kate Spade, Seal Press and more. Her work can be an inspiration for us encouraging to draw something, anything everyday.

Illustrator: Phoebe Wahl


It's always great to finish a week with some wonderful inspiring work. Today I would like to present to you the lovely artwork by Phoebe Wahl. Phoebe is an award winning illustrator who lives in Washington state. She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2013 with a BFA in Illustration and later won awards for illustrating children's books. 

Her illustrations have a focused theme of 'comfort, nostalgia and intimacy with nature and one another." The artwork features owls, blossoms and people in folk-art inspired style in vibrant colors on tote bags, tea towels, greeting cards, stationery and enamel mugs. Surreal Hand-Painted Rocks and 3D Wildlife Portraits by Roberto Rizzo

"If you can dream it, you can do it" by Walt Disney is the quote with which Roberto Rizzo's profile begins. Looking at his work one can see how talented he is transforming ordinary rocks into three dimensional animals.

Roberto Rizzo is an Italian painter who started hand-painting rocks in 1996. He has gained over 20 years of experience under his belt working as a nature illustrations to wildlife art, from painted stones to trompe l’oeil. His animal rocks are meticulously painted with so much detail that they seem so real. The owl seems to peeking from the tree hollow and the handsome cat looks great sitting on the chair.

Animal Murals in Pop Colors and Bold Lines by Dzia

Belgian street artist Dzia has been creating murals depicting animals and insects in bold colors. His artwork is focused on creating unique pieces using abstract patterns, geometric lines and swirls. 

He has created murals for several clients including Urban Outfitters and Converse. He has worked on projects in collaboration with other artists from around the world.
