Owl Cake Ball: Tutorial

A couple of weeks ago, Julie sent me pictures of her daughter's first birthday party with woodland theme. Julie made this adorable owl costume for her daughter and made these owl cake balls, which I loved! I asked her how she made them and if she would be interested in sharing a tutorial for all us owl-lovers, and she agreed. Yay! These owl cake balls are so adorable and I think will fit well with baby shower, birthday party or a special Christmas party. Hop on over to Julie's blog for step by step photo tutorial. Thanks Julie!

Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not is a collection of digitally printed beautiful silk scarves by French illustrator Coco. All her designs are based on her own personal compositions and illustrations, focusing on big square (120x120) sizes. Her owl scarves are absolutely stunning that I am tempted to display them on wall as fine art!

DIY: Owl Ornament With Template

I found this easy tutorial for making your own owl ornament this holiday season! Just print the template from Anna's blog and follow a few simple steps to create as many as ornaments you just. Pull out that stack of fabric bought at a thrift store for a special craft project and tucked way embellishments.

Do you buy new ornaments each year, make your owl or reuse from last year?

She even made her own calendar and found a perfect artwork for her anniversay month. "I selected my favorites shown above, I felt they best fit their month, in fact the pair of cute owls in July were chosen since that is my wedding anniversary."

Sharon Muir: Ceramics

Sharon Muir is a Brisbane based designer and ceramic artist who studied Fine Art Ceramics at RMIT to Masters level. She started sculpting ceramic products based around the idea of "making pots for plants that were designed around the type of plant that would go in to them. The pebble pot, designed for orchids..." Her cute owls and delicate bird ceramics will make delightful addition to any room. Available here.

Do You See Owls? - I

I swear when I first saw these images, those doilies appeared owl shaped to me. Do you too see an owl face in those heart shaped doilies? I like what Elena did with paper doilies to create these gorgeous Christmas lights; a great and inexpensive decoration idea.
