Faunascape Wall Art

Happy Friday everyone! As the week's last post, I would like to share some amazing wall art that caught my attention at the very first glance because of the striking combination of the animal images and the beautiful landscapes in subdued color palettes.

Faunascape is a series of art prints featuring animals and landscapes printed on birch plywood in different shapes and sizes. These are designed and made in Denmark, available in owl, toad, horses, rabbit, fox or racoon designs. Can be bought from Huset starting at $26 each.

Have a lovely weekend!

DIY: Owl Pinata

There are so many wonderful diy pinata tutorials floating online, but this tutorial is easy and simple to make. Go to Hobby Craft's website for clear step by step instructions with images to guide you through the tutorial. I love the combination of plain white and vibrant colored paper used to make the owl's feathers. If you are organizing a party for kids then this will be a great fun project and they'll love to help you make this, too!

Golly Bard also known as Holly Ward Bimba is a Virginia based artist who makes these beautiful watercolor illustrations inspired by animals, insects and plants. She says, "I'm slightly obsessed with natural history, anatomy, things in jars, garden maps, miniatures of the mughal dynasty, weather systems, fashion, portraits, wallpaper, calligraphy, and patterns." Her work has been featured on Southern Living, Martha Stewart, Western Living and Real Simple, and several other blogs.

I am obsessed with her owls. I love the colors and the intricate patterns, I could stare at these for hours. To know about her new work, you can follow her blog.
