Hand-Embroidered Animal Portraits by Ellie Tolfts

Ellie Tolfts is an illustrator and an embroider originally from East Anglia, currently living in Plymouth. I stumbled across her Instagram and instantly fell in love with her embroidered animal portraits. She generally works on light background with colored floss which makes her embroidered pieces pop. Besides working with thread and a needle, she loves to draw monsters and skeletons with black dip pen inks. To see her more of her work go to her website and Instagram.

Snuggable Unique Dolls by Billoo Boutique

Bushra Mirza is an artist and a doll maker from Vancouver. She enjoyed working with fabric ever since she was a little child, watching her mother and sister sew inspired her to explore her creativity. She would collect left over fabric around the house and make outfits for her dolls. Her childhood paved the way to what later in her life became so special in form of a brand Billoo Boutique.

Billoo Boutique offers heirloom dolls and toys handmade using natural cotton and lambswool. I love the unique shapes of her forest friends who are hand-embroidered by the artist to add details. Your little ones will love to snuggle and cuddle with the whimsical creatures. You can view more of her dolls on Instagram.

Stylish Nightwear and Socks for Animal Lovers

One of the perks of working from home is you get to work in your pajamas! When I saw these animal print pajamas I knew I had to share them here. Fat Face is brand started by two guys who were looking to start something of their own so they didn't have to work and they could continue enjoying life on the slopes in the French Alps. This great story resulted in a brand that specializes in making women knitwear and pajamas with fun designs.

The range of their socks, lounge pants and pajamas assure comfort and fit so you really could wear them all day long! The night owls, bunnies, hedgehogs, robin bird, penguins, squirrel, cat and dog are some of the motifs are so adorable that you would never want to leave your home.

Breathtakingly Intricate Papercut Landscapes

Happy Friday! I would like to wrap up for the weekend with the beautiful work of Annie Howe an illustrator and a papercut artist from Baltimore, Maryland.

She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Fiber. After graduating she worked as a creator of large-scale puppetry and shadow puppets in the Baltimore art community for many years. Her love for storytelling shifted from three dimensional objects to intricate papercut artwork. She creates elaborate stories by hand cutting patterns on plain paper. Her work is inspired by woodland creatures surrounded with clouds, trees, mushrooms, and words. The lace-like pieces appear light and delicate. You can take a closer look at her work on Instagram.
