Happy Friday + Japanese Traditional Glasswork

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well and enjoying your visits to the blog. The covid situation is getting better all over the globe and it did get improve in India from the last week. Businesses are slowly opening and we are seeing people travelling to work with less restrictions. Despite the things seeming to better, let's continue to take precautions and stay safe.

Before I let you go for the weekend, I would like to share the stunning glasswork by Shinobu Kurosaki of Mr Nature Store. The artist created this unique owl glass inspired by Edo Kiriko. Edo Kiriko is a type of glasswork known to have originated in Nihonbashi area of Edo which is the old name for Tokyo. The Japanese traditional craftwork involves patterns to be carved on the surface of a multi-layered glass, this way both the transparency and the beautiful design on the glass can be admired.

You can find the shown owl glass and more limited edition glassware in Mr Nature Store

Have a wonderful weekend!
Shivani
