Gouache Bird Paintings By Kaitlin Hoyt



Kaitlin Hoyt is a wildlife illustrator and natural-science hobbyist based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She gained a wellness focused degree from University of New Brunswick, this knowledge helped her explore the interconnectedness of human health and nature through her illustrations. 





She paints beautiful birds using traditional mediums like acrylic and gouache. Through her nature inspired illustrations Kaitlin hopes to re-establish a connection to the outdoors for those who are removed from it. 

 



Her work has rich color palette which makes it a joy for a viewer to observe her feathered creatures. The artist is currently working as a wildlife-drawing instructor at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre.

Layered Paper and Wood Artwork by Nebula Creations











 

 
Page Strahan is the designer and the creator behind Nebula Creations Co. She uses paper and wood as a medium to construct mobiles, wall art, and jewelry pieces. 

Page begins a piece with hand-drawn layers, and carefully selects variety of textures depending on the subject she has chosen. To give dimension and depth to her work, paper is cut precisely by laser and all the tiny paper are brought together in layers. The artist finally artistically assembles all the components onto a wooden frame to create a unique, stunning masterpiece. Her work is inspired by themes such as whimsical, enchanting, wanderlust, nautical, dreamy, and nature being the recurring theme. All the pieces are made in Page's studio in the Tampa Bay area. Smaga Wonderland is brand started in 2011 by a husband and wife team Monika and Krzysztof Smaga. They call themselves "DIY nerds", crafting is their passion and papercraft is their love.






Their beautiful lamps are made of eco-friendly materials. Lamps are constructed using sustainable birch plywood and has a layer of a high quality transparent paper which disperses soft light. 








The brand offers pendants, scones and table lights that are perfect for any room in the house. The lamps come in several designs inspired by animal and nature theme. The lovely detail work become visible as soon as the lamp is switched on.

Decorative Ceramic Birds by Artists of Jehn Ceramics



Jehn Ceramics is a family run company started in 2003 by a husband and a wife team - Monika and Robert Jehn-Olszewska. They hand sculpt functional, everyday dishes as well as decorative birds. They both studied at the Warsaw University of Technology and use the knowledge to prepare the clay and glazes for their birds.


 



The series of birds include over 30 different kinds of birds such as owl, woodpecker, kingfisher, flamingo, white stork, rooster, raven, cuckoo and many more.


 


There is so much precision in the shape and form of the feathered creatures that they can be mistaken for real birds. It can take about three weeks to handcraft a bird from beginning to the end. Each bird stands on lacquered steel legs for durability and stability.

Lifelike Sculptures Carved With Chainsaw by Jürgen Lingl-Rebetez



German artist Jürgen Lingl-Rebetez carves animal sculptures using the most unexpected tool. Lingl-Rebetez was interested in art from early on in his life, he started his career as a painter and showed his art at a gallery when he was only 20 years of age. In 1996, he moved to Switzerland and started to sculpt using a chainsaw.





 


He uses chainsaw to create amazing sculptures of owls, jaguars, rabbits, and horses. The artist begins with a block of wood and carves the forms of animals that look so real. The sculptures are finished with incredible detail work that are added with a knife and colored pencils. His animal sculptures have unique rustic style and friendly personalities.
