Stunning Uncontained Dioramas by Artist Allison May Kiphuth

Allison May Kiphuth is an artist based in Maine. I am a long term admirer of her work and featured her dioramas on the blog earlier. She has a huge fan following of her wooden boxes that are constructed with layered watercolor illustrations inspired by her natural surroundings.

She has been working on another series, she calls it "Uncontained Dioramas", featuring landscapes and sceneries. The artist hand-cuts and hand-paints each tiny detail of her work with fine brush before layering them into a finished piece. Each piece is then sealed with Encaustic where the layers are varnished with wax making the fragile artwork durable for handling and adds a subtle texture.

You can find her available artwork on her website and follow her for latest creations on Instagram.
