Larisa Volkavichyute is a Vermont based designer and a jewelry maker. She makes wooden brooches and earrings with quirky designs based on her original illustrations. Her online store has over hundred of items and each one is unique, no two are alike! The collection of pins has something for everyone, from animals to owls, to cats, to ocean, to floral themed designs. Each pin comes in a kraft box ready to give as a gift!

Stunning Ceramic Platter Collection by Mark Hearld



  






 


Mark Hearld is a printmaker and a ceramic artist born in 1974. Ever since he was a little boy he loved animals and nature. His work is heavily influenced by flora and fauna of the British countryside. Now the multi-media artist creates oil and watercolors, collages, textiles, 3D pieces, hand-painted ceramics, posters, book covers, limited edition lithographs and linocuts. I have featured his wonderful work on the blog before. This post is dedicated to his stunning slipcast and hand-painted platters inspired by birds and animals.

He has worked in collaboration with Faber & Faber and Tate Museums. His collages were published by Walker Books for a children's book. St Jude's, an online art gallery made an introductory film on Mark's inspirations and working methods.

Tattoos Inspired by Natural and Botanical Designs














Esther Garcia is a tattoo artist based in Chicago, IL. Largely self-taught artistic creates tattoos that are inspired by natural and botanical designs. She has over 20 years of experience as a tattoo artist and is also the founder of Butterfat Studios, all women artist driven tattoo shop in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.

She loves to begin her work on an inky black background which provides smooth saturated surface for bright floral patterns and rich illustrations. One can immediately recognize her work through her distinct style that incorporates flowers, plants, animals, and birds.

She is currently working in collaboration with graphic designer Kyle Letendre, and doing traveling workshops to encourage young artists to find their unique style and own a sustainable business. You can find more of her tattoo artwork on Instagram.

British Wildlife Inspired Jewelry and Textile Goods by Sarah Kelly














Sarah Kelly is the UK based designer and illustrator behind the brand Shark Alley. She has an over 20 years of experience as an illustrator who was originally trained under illustrator Raymond Briggs. She has also worked as a textile designer in collaboration with internationally known designer Kaffe Fassett.

She loves nature, her work incorporates bird and animals motifs inspired by British countryside. Her illustrations in vibrant colors and patterns inspired by folk style are turned into brooches, earrings, bags, cushion covers and tea towels. Each piece is made by her in her studio by the sea. Her work has been published in magazines such as Country Living, The Simple Things, Crafts, Land Love and more.
