Artist Creates Geometric Inspired Paper Cuts For 100 Days Project









 


 
Happy Friday, everyone! I would like to wrap up for the weekend with the lovely paper-cut by Christiane. Christiane is a self-taught artist based in Dublin who is obsessed with making things. She recently challenged her creativity to hand-cut one paper-cut illustration a day for 100 days! She has been creating paper-cuts inspired by geometric shapes in variety of designs from abstract to floral, from insects to animals. I can't wait to see what will she come up with next! When I stumbled across those adorable owl slippers (top image) I had to find out more about the creators and their other creations. Sew Heart Felt was founded by UK award winning designer Sonia Spencer. The brand works with artisans from all around the world including England, Switzerland, Nepal, New Zealand, Tibet and India. 

The brand offers the cutest collection of slippers for adults and kids, costumes, head dress, taxidermy birds, rugs, puppets and more. Each product is handmade from beginning till end by skilled workers using natural materials. Adorable Miniature Paintings by German Artist Frank Holzenburg








 





"Art makes life sweet, giving back makes it sweeter" reads Frank Holzenburg's profile.

Frank is a German artist presently living in Kassel who studied fine arts and geography, and created his art with medieval book illumination as a student. Before he became a full-time artist he worked as a puppeteer, graphic designer, and teacher.

Frank enjoys to paint and draw something every day. He specializes in making miniature art inspired by what he comes across in his day-to-day life and finds interesting. He paints a wide range of subjects from animals to landscapes, from fictional characters to objects. His work captures minimalist form that captures the basic characteristic of his models. Mother-daughter Team Creates Amazing Faux Taxidermy













Birchwood Fine Art is a creative studio founded by a mother-daughter team Debbie and Amber Johnson based in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. They have worked together on number of projects together and participated in several shows across Ontario. They make these one-of-a-kind three dimensional faux taxidermy with plaster, wood, paper mache, paper clay and fabric. They have exhibited in various galleries and shops in the last 30 years. Mixed Media Artist: Tina Jensen













 

Tina Jensen is a mixed media artist based in Denmark. She creates collages and textile art with found objects from her visits to flea markets. She uses vintage lace, rusty bits and pieces, vintage photo albums, and other objects with a history to create her work. The worn fabric and faded paper adds delightful character and texture to her pieces. She creates one-of-a-kind journals, bookmarks, ornaments, fabric art, tea bag art and envelopes carefully placing each little component and hand-painting to add detail.
