Jo Rioux is a children's books and graphic novels illustrator who was born and raised in Ottawa. After graduating from Sheridan college in illustration, she has illustrated several young adult books, picture books, and comic books. It was her love for the graphic novel that led her to start writing her own series. She won the 2012 Joe Shuster award for best comic for kids for her debut graphic novel Cat's Cradle.

The above shown illustrations are from "Inktober" an artistic series that unfolds over the period of 31 days ending on Halloween. It's fun to follow her on Instagram to see what she comes up with next. You can find these illustrations (and more) as art prints in her online store.
