Soft Sculptures Hand-Painted to Look Like Creatures from Fairy-Tale World

"Buttons and patches and the cold wind blowing, The days pass quickly when I am sewing'' are few of the lines from the artist Zena Ladd's profile. I truly think the quote explains her love and dedication for her work, also the fun that she has while creating the imaginative creatures.

Zena Ladd is a textile artist based in UK who creates whimsical art dolls and soft sculptures. She is a mixed media artist whose work is inspired by natural history and fairy-tales. She uses needle, paint, and vintage fabric and laces to hand-make these one-of-a-kind pieces. Every sculpture is hand-sewn and hand painted by the artist before it's fixed on a wooden base ready to be cherished for a very long time! You can find owls, hares, swans and other characters in her online store - The Spare Bedroom.

Necklaces That Hold Hidden Dreamlike Worlds Inside

I am excited about today's post that features whimsical work by Alexis of Meadow and Fawn. Alexis is an Australian based sculptor, painter and a jewelry maker who creates dreamlike world that you can't help but fall in love with.

Each necklace is like a treasure box holding a hidden landscape that only gets revealed on being opened. The artist sculpts the little creatures and paints them before they are placed inside the necklace, the outside is hand-painted with incredible attention to detail. She uses real heather leaves, moss and lichen along with miniature paintings to create a narrative in a necklace.

Her pieces are sold within a couple of minutes of listing! You can find out details about her next shop update for the new items on her website. You wouldn't want to miss because they are available on first come, first serve basis.
