Three Dimensional Embroidered Birds by Sarah J Perry

Sarah J Perry is a textile artist who creates raised embroidered three dimensional beautiful birds and animals using fine threads, vintage fabrics and twigs. She has an experience of over 15 years and has developed a technique in the process that makes her work so unique.

"I love nature and from a very young age have been fascinated by the structure of birds, fish and animals. The movement of the bones and the distribution of muscle, the shape of the wing of a bird defines its flight, its beak is designed to cope with the individual diet as are the legs and feet appropriate to its habitat. From those beginnings I drew, glued and shaped birds and animals from fabric, thread, paint and treasures collected from the countryside."

Her work has been selected for shows, exhibitions and published on sites such as Made By Hand Online. Her work has been featured in private collections throughout the world. More of her work can bee viewed on Instagram and Facebook.
