Animal Silhouettes Superimposed on Natural Scenery

Russian artist and art lover Nikolai Tolstyh creates paper silhouettes of animals and to fill them up uses a visually rich backdrop that consists of leaves, branches and flowers. The combination of stark white animals shapes and bright landscapes work perfectly. Each piece looks like an artwork where the primary subject animals are framed by the scenery. You can see more of his work on Instagram.

Heart Shaped Paintings by Amanda Clark

Hi friends, Happy Valentine's day! It's the day when we celebrate love. It's not a day meant only for lovers but for all the important people in our life we love. So let's celebrate people who have been through thick and thin - your mom, your children or your friend.

UK based artist Amanda Clark lives among hills and woodland. She paints beautiful heart shaped paintings inspired by her surroundings where hare, badger, deer, owls and fox are the frequent visitors.

"My very best time for painting is early hours of the morning, when everything is quiet and the sun is just beginning to rise over the horizon, then I seem to enter into a field of insights that seem to manifest themselves into color, pattern and form."

Her artwork seem to be directly out of fairy-tale world filled with stars, moon and trees. The landscape is painted in the shape of heart with animals living inside of it. The artist uses acrylic paints, watercolors, sometimes oil paints and embellishes the prints with gold leaf.

The special edition prints are on discount in her online store for today. If there is something that you like then grab it because the discount is only valid till midnight.

Miniature Watercolor Paintings by Rachel Beltz

Rachel Beltz is an artist currently living and working in Pennsylvania. She is on a mission to push people out of the daily norm and appreciate the little wonderful details in their everyday life. It's mind-boggling how realistic her miniature watercolor paintings are that are only the size of a United States Quarter, about 28 x 28 mm. She has taken miniature painting to the next level by squeezing in all the tiny details and expressions in her work that could fit under a postage stamp. One can see the beautiful feathers of owls or the whole artery system of heart.
