Eleanor Bartleman a ceramic artist is based in North Devon who was brought up on Scotland’s Ayrshire coast. She studied ceramics at the Glasgow School of Art. She has always been interested in mythology, her work is inspired in particular by Reynard the Fox a series of medieval folklore tales. Over the years she has developed her own style of ceramic figurines. Her ceramics are sculpted in animals shapes and human forms. Each treasure box and porcelain figurine is hand made by the artist in porcelain clay.

"She is interested in developing her own mythology in which different animal and human characters play out their relationships, actions and emotions."

Her work can be viewed and purchased from number of galleries in the UK. She is an elected member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.
