Birds Perched on the Edge of Art Paper Painted by Camille Engel







Self-taught painter and realist artist Camille Engel is known world wide for her oil paintings that are rich in texture and intricate detail. She started her career in painting in her forties and in 2000 began oil painting, intuitively in a realistic style.

Trespasser series depict paintings of owls, birds and animals pecking their way through ripped hole in blank art paper. This series is based on what if birds invaded our homes and started building their nests inside our houses. One of the paintings from the series has won an international Best Wildlife Award of Palm Springs. Her works is inspired by the indirect layering style of the Dutch Masters.

Her work has been published in national and international magazines such as Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector, Western Art Collector, Southwest Art, The Artist’s Magazine, American Artist and International Artist. Her oil paintings are accepted into prestigious museum tours and art exhibitions from Santa Fe to New York City. She has won numerous awards and her work has been made to private collection all over the world.
