Papercut Artwork by Pippa Dyrlaga

Pippa Dyrlaga is a paper artist based in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire who uses traditional paper cutting techniques to create contemporary artwork. She gained degree in Contemporary Art Practice and MA in Art and Design and Curation from Leeds Metropolitan University. Her work is mainly inspired by nature, animals, architecture and the surroundings while she was growing up.

Her papercut artwork is generally cut from a single sheet of paper and has thousands of cuts that form wings of owls or scales on snakes. She uses only scalpel to make every little intricate detail that brings lightness and delicacy to her work. She has worked with Yorkshire Tea, Element Jewellery, York University, Market Taverns, and Heart Gallery for the Watermark Fund. You can find prints as well as originals on her website.
