Doodle Easter Characters Cascarones

This is such a wonderful idea! Vanessa of A Fanciful Twist made these super cute Easter Egg Heads inspired by Mexican tradition called cascarones. What are cascarones? To celebrate Easter, hollowed eggs are filled with confetti and broken on each other's head (careful with the pieces).

You can find the instructions on how to doodle and decorate your cascarones by drawing owl, mouse and other character heads. You can use the eggs as decorations for birthday party and weddings. Fill them up with sayings such as "All you need is Love", " Life is Sweet" etc. to make the game extra fun.

3 Dimensional Artwork by Laura Bell

Atlanta based artist Laura Bell works in mixed media, inspired by nature her work often consists of drawings on paper and cut paper, vintage elements, found objects, watercolor, and ink. The artist gained her MFA from the Tyler School at Temple University and her BA with a specialization in Art and Art History from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.

The series "Run Rampant" explores "the relationships between human and animal, between wilderness and artifice, and between order and the unruly. The work considers the various lenses through which we view the fauna and flora that surround us." Her artwork features animals in the foreground in pen marks on hand-cut paper layered with watercolored landscapes in the background giving the whole piece a three dimensional quality. The vintage oval frame and glass bell jar houses the work.
