The Crazy Plate Lady: Jacqueline Poirier

Toronto based artist Jacqueline Poirier also known as The Crazy Plate Lady makes amazingly realistic hand-painted plates. She graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2004 with a Bachelor in Fine Art in drawing and Painting. She has been painting on porcelain and ceramics for about 7 years and is currently the Resident Artist at The Ritz Carlton in Toronto. As a server for TOCA, the hotel's restaurant, Jacqueline created one-of-a-kind, hand-painted charger plates.

Her designs range from animals, food, landscape and characters. The paintings are so detailed that her pizza will make your mouth water and trees so real that they seem to be a part of the background.

She has worked with Facebook, Molson Canadian, Samsung, Celebrity Cruises, Hewlett-Packard, and the Toronto International Film Festival. Her work has been featured on many publications in the US, UK, Australia, Africa, and Malaysia. More of her work can be viewed on her website.
