Owl Tree and Door Hanging Tutorial

I can't help but notice all the fall tutorials and projects that are popping up on the internet. The owl tree is a cute project by Sarah of Frugal Fun for Boys and Girls that will make your home ready for fall. It's a simple project that kids can enjoy making all by themselves with a little help from parents. The things that you'll need for this project are easily available at any craft store. You'll need wood slices, buttons, felt, pipe cleaners, glue, wood burning tool and a pencil. The owl tree will look perfect with the rest of the fall decor inside your home and the owls door hanging will get the guests in the holiday spirit right at the front door.

Printable Owls Recipe Card

Good morning everyone! Today's freebie is this adorable owls recipe card by Brittney who writes a blog where she shares wonderful stories about her life being a military wife and creative ideas plus freebies. In my experience recipe cards are essential to any kitchen. If one is not organized, it's very easy to loose a recipe that you and your family enjoyed very much.

I have shared elegant, fun, fresh, and cute owl recipe cards in the past. You can find them all here and download them to share holiday recipes with your family and friends.

Day of the Dead Themed Collection by World Market 2016

After living in the States all these years and celebrating the local festivals with my American friends I can say I enjoy a few of the festivals more that the others. Dia de los Muertos which in English means Day of the Dead has become close to my heart. I am from Tucson where the Mexican community thrives and celebrates the day ever year on a huge scale participated by over 150,000 locals. I love everything about this festival - the masks, the sugar skulls, the costumes, the make-up, the parades and of course the colors that make even the skulls look so fabulous.

It's a little early to be talking about the Day of the Dead but When I came across the new collection by World Market I thought I share. The collection offers plates and mugs in owl, cat and skull shapes in bright orange and black. Also, there are napkins, pillows, candle holder, ornaments and coloring book.

Whimsical Scraves Inspired by Birds and Animals

Poland based artists Celina and Maja Debowska are sisters who founded Celapiu in 2005. They create these whimsical scarves inspired by birds and animals. Celina says: "I like to think of my products as "surrealistic". Their products are handmade in their studio using raw materials sourced locally where possible. The owl, sloth, swan, horse and flamingo scarf will be a perfect statement piece paired with a fancy dress.
