Free Vintage Owl Illustrations

Melanie is an antique dealer who frequents flea markets to find treasures and vintage books. On one of her such trips, she found a bird study book with over 200 beautiful illustrations of all sorts of birds, including owls.

She generously shared three pages from the book by making them available for download here. The pages have a dozen of owl images that can be used for any craft project that you can think of. Like using an owl illustration for making your own unique place cards.

Woodland Creatures Cookies and Printable Tree Trunk Packaging

These adorable animal cookies is a wonderful idea to make for a woodland themed party or to give away at your little ones' school. The series of woodland creatures cookies include a owl, fox, hedgehog, squirrel and bear. Nicola and her friend got together for the project and shared the process on the blog along with a printable template for a "tree trunk" packaging. I adore the owl peeking out a tree hollow. To download the templates for the woodland creature cookies and the tree trunk click here.

Animal Drawings Between The Lines

These adorable pencil drawings are by Iantha Naicker a young artist from Durban, South Africa. Her series "Animals that don’t want to stay between the lines" is a collection of animals drawn on lined paper with color pencils or watercolors. The 3D animals are depicted in clever and funny ways. The lines on the paper is the common theme around which different animals seem to be playing or caught in and want to escape the lines. The owl, panda, bird, and bulldog are both clever and creatively inspiring.
