Danielle Clough's Fabulous Embroidery

































Born and raised in Cape Town, Danielle Clough a designer and an embroidery artist creates gorgeous portraits of people, animals, birds and flowers using colorful strands of thread. She has embroidered on burlap pillows, pendants, hoops, masks and on vintage tennis racquets. Each piece can take anywhere from 2 hours to 2 months to finish depending on its size.

Her work has been featured by many websites including Neatorama, DeMilked, Frankie, Creative Boom and My Modern Met. She was recently commissioned to customize four pairs of Vans for their 50th birthday. She was interviewed by CNN, you can read it on her blog.
