Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker by Christianne C. Jones illustrated by Richard Watson is a story of a young owl who loves to talk. She talks all day and sometimes all night, until she learns the hard way the importance of listening on losing her voice one morning. After this occurrence, she starts to pay attention to the things around her. She is able to now complete tasks that she earlier missed out on every day. She notices fascinating things about friends and the activities become interesting to her.

The book has a wonderful message. We learn amazing things, appreciate them and accomplish more when we sometimes stay quiet. It's a story that kids can easily relate to, most kids just love to talk and talk without really listening to what others have to say. The book teaches a valuable lesson accompanied by cute and colorful illustrations. It's a great classroom read and a wonderful addition to your little one's library. Available here.
