Book: Merry Christmas, Little Hoo! by Brenda Ponnay

Merry Christmas, Little Hoo! is an adorable children's book by Brenda Ponnay an illustrator and graphic designer. The book, from the Little Hoo series, is a story about an owl who is scared of everything. On the Christmas Eve this owl cannot sleep, he hears noises. He stays awake in his bed imagining that all the noises he hears are made by Santa, his reindeer and his elves. On investigating he finds out that the noises are either made by the mama owl or papa owl.

No, Little Hoo.
It's just Papa Hoo
munching on cookies.

The little owl finally goes back to bed and falls asleep. All sorts of words that are used to describe noises are the sounds that'll be enjoyed by the kids like "scritch scritch scritch", "scuffle scuffle scuffle", "jinga-ling jingaling". The story is told with simple, beautiful and bold illustrations. The author has made use of all the bright, festive colors that are sure to cheer up the little ones and the parents. It's a great story to read to the kids on Christmas eve before they go to bed. Order here.
