Handmade Thread Holders

I don't own a single thread holder but I went ''awww" when I saw these adorable handmade thread holders. The owl and the cat thread holders are based on Minifanfan's original hand-drawn illustrations. They are perfect for a crafter to organize bakers twine, embroidery threads and lace. And so what if you don't sew, you can still desire cute things. Right!

Lazy Doll: Hand Painted Purse

These hand made and hand painted purses are by Bo the creator of all the lovely things at Lazy Doll. Why the name "Lazy Doll"? She shared on her profile page: "Before being a mother,I always dozed all long afternoon away- so that´s why my created things are made by "Lazy Doll"."

There are over hundred products in her store at the moment including gadget cases, little purses, clutches and purses. Each sewn by hand stitch by stitch and adorned with illustration of birds, animals hand painted by the artist and sometimes embellished with lace, embroidery and fabrics.

Dolan Geiman - Mixed Media Artist

Dolan Geiman is Chicago based mixed media artist who creates original collages, paintings, constructions, and limited-edition reproductions. His artwork is produced with 100% recycled materials  from salvaged wood, found objects, sugar sacks to hand cut industrial metal to vintage magazines. He says: “Being green is something my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents were doing long before it was trendy.” Despite these unusual materials, his artwork is simply a delight and engaging from the moment you set your eyes on it. Shown above "Maybe Midnight Owl" mixed media diorama features salvaged wood crate shadowbox with an owl produced from found hand-cut metal objects.

His artwork has been featured in number of magazines and publications including American Craft, Cowboys & Indians Magazine, Uppercase Magazine, Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune. In 2013, the American Craft Council described his work as 'urban Americana at its very best.'

He has exhibited and won honors at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (New Orleans, LA, 2013 Best of Show), Uptown Art Fair (Minneapolis, MN, 2012 & 2010 2-D Mixed Media Best of Show), Cherry Creek Arts Festival (Denver, CO, 2011 Merit Award), Bayou City Art Festival (Houston, TX, 2011 Featured Artist), Art Fair on the Square (Madison) (Madison, WI, 2008-2008 Invitational Artist Award), and American Craft Council exhibitions (Baltimore, MD) - from Wikipedia.
