Owl Rocking Chair by Erica Wilson and Vladimir Kagan

I am embarrassed to confess that I had not heard of Erica Wilson's amazing needlework until recently when I started to search for the artist who embroidered this stunning owl rocking chair. Erica Wilson was the “First Lady of Stitchery” in 1970s also known as The Queen of Stitchery. She stitched the owl onto a rocking chair designed by a furniture designer and Erica's husband Vladimir Kagan. She named the owl “Belinda” which was sold in an auction for whopping $10,000!
