Happy Friday!

tea-owl

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you had a great week and are ready for a fun weekend! Do you have any plans  for the weekend? My plans for this weekend include spending as much time as possible outside. It's Spring here, so before it gets hot (and it gets really hot), I want to take long walks around downtown art exhibitions and farmers' markets. Whatever you do this weekend, have fun!

I recently came across these adorable SPÖKA night lights aka ghost lamps by Ikea for kid's room. Don't they look like a tall owl and a short baby owl? Available in two different sizes here.

DIY: Owl Shabby Chic Table

I love this DIY by Lara of Piewacket! It's very, very easy and the end result is so sweet. For this project she used the metal table from Ikea for only $20 and place mat from TJ Maxx. The owl design in turquoise and white will add a hint of shabby chic to your kitchen and sun room.

Freebie: Pop Art Owl Note Card & Envelope

I just love free stationery! Today's freebie is this simple owl note card that'll be great for any sort of message. Use it as a note card, mini greeting card or just to say hello! It comes with an envelope. Download it from Tricia Rennea's website.

Lars Beller Fjetland: Re-turned

returnedbirds1 returnedbirds2 returnedbirds3 returnedbirds4

Norwegian designer Lars Beller Fjetland creates these Re-turned birds and owls out of trashed or unused pieces of woods.

“I saw dumpsters on every street corner and started to wonder how much quality materials I could find on a single raid plundering these urban sawmills. A short trip gathering wood provided me with enough material to build at least 20 birds. This really opened my eyes to the fact that trash really is a misplaced resource.”
