Shelli Markee: Wire Birds

Shelli Markee is a jewelry designer and a wire artist based in Seattle. Shelli attended Houston’s Glassell School of the Arts in Texas and has learnt various mediums "alongside a family of artisans in rural Minnesota".

Her wire sculptures are both rustic and contemporary, and are influenced by nature and organic forms. She handcrafts these birds "that resemble airborne sketches" using silver and mixed metal wire, wood, stones and other organic material.
