Tomas Hernandez Baez

mexican-candlestick1

I have a soft spot for Mexican folk art; I love the combination of dazzling patterns and use of bold colors in the traditional Oaxacan crafts. So, I was blown away when I came across this hand-painted ceramic owl candlestick by Tomas Hernandez Baez. He is known artists for making stunning candelarias and figurines painted with naturally made colors. Do you like Mexican art? Is this art form prevalent in your town?
