Lunch Bags: Built NY

lunch-box1
Built is a New York based company that makes all kinds of bags that are both fashionable and functional. While browsing some more about their products, I came across their adorable bags series called Munchler . It came in four different designs - dog, panda, tiger and bunny, but no owl (you can find a couple of these designs here). I was disappointed and searched some more and found another equally fun series of kids lunch bags - Big Apple Buddies that includes a dog, cat and an owl!

How cute is this crochet owl box? The box comes in a set of two in pink and green, a fun way to hold trinkets to paper clips. Apart from the adorable owl box they have other like cake, mushroom, mushroom and heart shaped boxes. These are exclusively available at RJ Stone.com and you have to be registered with them in order to make a purchase. It shouldn't be hard, but I thought I mention that. You can read more about their shipping policy here.

Hey Gyeong Jang an illustrator and a student at Kingston university. I first discovered her work at Amelia's Magazine and it was a love at first sight. I adore her anthropomorphic owls, foxes and squirrels populating the watercolored landscapes. I think if ever she illustrated a children's book, it'd be wonderful and I'd be first in line ;)

Just Paper and Felt

Owl
Bird
Dressed Horse
Kima of Kup Kup Land creates these delightful and colorful collages using paper and felt. I am blown away by the intricacy in her work and impressive attention to detail. You must stop by her Flickr gallery to view more images of her beautiful pieces, I couldn't stop looking at all the lovely things here.

Metal Owl

Michelle Valigura is a designer and sculptor currently living in southern California. She created these limited-edition Owl figures in metal for her Creation Mutation show at M Modern. Each owl figure was sculpted, cast and produced with painstakingly perfection in steel. These "two headed" owls, show the sleeping owl on one side and all awake owl on the other side. You can get these pretty cool looking owls that only 2 inches tall for $60 a piece at M Modern.com. Remember, there are only 50 available and they won't last long!

Shades of Yellow

I can feel the Fall coming in and it's feel wonderful! It's my (like most people) favorite season of the whole year. The air is much cooler in my part of the world, but the leaves haven't changed, yet, to these stunning shades of yellow. I suppose for now I'll enjoy these lovely images by Oana that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Do you L.O.V.E. that beautiful owl mask inspired by autumn leaf colors. Magical!

I need your opinion!

owl light1

owl light2

I first saw this owl wall light on ohdeedoh.com and honestly, I liked it at first sight for it's uniqueness and whimsy. It especially looks great against that gorgeous wallpaper. When I started to read what others have to say, I was really shocked to find that many found it too scary for a kids room and expressed their disliking for the lamp. I don't have kids, so I have no way of verifying that. But if I were a kid, I would have liked those lamps in my room. May be, a parliament of owls in different sizes?

I would like to know your opinion. Do you find the lamps scary for a kid's room? Would you have it in a grown-up's space?

The Uhu Wall Light comes in two different owl silhouettes - the Eagle Owl and the Tawny Owl. You can buy the lights from here, if you don't mind those eyes starring at you :)
