Vintage Halloween Postcards

I was thrilled beyond my words when I discovered what seems like the largest collection of Vintage Halloween Post cards by someone who goes by the pseudonym of "Rip The Skull". There are over 1,600 photos in his ever growing collection of these Halloween cards, which he has been accumulating  from sources like flea markets, auctions, yard sales and eBay. The pictures above are few of the vintage Halloween post cards that I picked out to share here; for rest check out his Flickr gallery.

Paper Halloween Masks

I just discovered these fabulous paper halloween masks at The Graphics Fairy created by Dawn Dayringer. Dawn used several vintage images to create these fun masks. You can find more information and the links to the graphics used for the masks here.

Owl in Pumpkin Cookies

The super talented cookie maker Callye has a knack for making owl cookies using cookie cutters which most of us would never think would make owl cookies. Remember this post? Can you guess what kind of cookie cutter did she use for these cookies? She used a candy corn cookie cutter like this to make these owl in pumkin cookies for Halloween. I mean, how does she see owl in candy corn? What I know is, Her creative mind works in unexpected ways and her projects are always pulled together with the most intricate details!

These fabulous dish cloths are from Swedish designer Ingela Arrhenius whose work I have previously blogged here. Her 50s and 60s influenced dish cloths are quirky and are certain to make an otherwsie mundane tasks of washing and drying up dishes a whole lot more fun. There are three different designs to choose from - owl, cat and hen.

Available here and here.

I found this another halloween party with tons of wonderful details. It's perfect for the grown-ups who don't like scary theme for halloween and also makes it fun for the little ones. This party ties in perfectly the owl-woodland theme and halloween theme with the use of pine cone and branches decorations and owl shaped treats, whereas the color palette of orange, black and purple adds a holiday flavor. Owls and Raccoons Fall Party

I find Amy's blog very inspiring, and today she featured this yet another fabulous party by Courtney Portner for her children and their friends. The primary theme of this party was "feisty owls and punky raccoons". The orange and brown simple fall colors were mixed with bright celadon and blue which complimented the theme. Owl cape and masks were given to the each child, and the center table was decorated with felt owls and raccoons, and masor jars.

My favorite part of the party has to be all those adorable treats - the fondant owls and raccoons on the cupcakes, the owl shaped cookies, and the "hoot" lollipops.

If I were to host a perfect fall party, it would look exactly like this one.
