Owl Painted Stones




How gorgeous are these painted stones! The owls, bears and foxes look so calm and peaceful together as a family. I love the detail on the animals' faces and the use of imaginary colors. {update: These stones are painted by Waii Waii}.

Rob Dunlavey: Owl and Tern








Rob Dunlavey is an illustrator and artist who completed his Masters of Fine Art degree in Sculpture from Claremont Graduate University and Print and Drawing at Southern Illinois University. Before turning to illustration full time, he worked as a graphic artist and illustrator and also as a photographer and scientific illustrator for several types of clients.

These sweet illustrations are from his children’s picture book - "Owl and Tern" a story of two feathered friends and a bear. Some of these pages are available are print at Society6.

"What looks like illustrations for children's books have their start in my attempts to makes sense of the world, the people I meet and my attempt to somehow express my appreciation for both."
