Jessica Lennox

I am happy to introduce you to our new sponsor and a very talented artist Jessica Lennox. Jessica graduated from Loughborough University with BA honors in Printed textile and soon put her skills to use making ceramic goods. She recently opened an eclectic gift and home wares shop featuring products inspired by birds and animals of Staffordshire where she is living currently. Night Owl - the name originated from her nocturnal nature to work through the night. When she is not working she is searching for second hand crockery and wood to transform them into delightful collectible pieces. Visit her store for mugs, plates, teapots, wooden art work and prints.

I am not feeling well today, so I am taking the rest of the day off. I'll see you tomorrow. Oh, and don't forget to enter the giveaway.

Good Night, Owl!

Good-Night, Owl! by Pat Hutchins - first published in 1972 - is another great children's book with fun and colorful illustrations. Every page has images of animals made with intricate patterns created from basic shapes; notice the dominance of lines and dots in the owl picture? Not only this book is great to look at, but it also has a playful story about an owl who is kept awake during the day by all the noise made by the other animals in the tree. It's a perfect bed time story book with a surprise ending that will send the little ones off to sleep laughing. Available here.
