I came across this owl themed treats table at Celebrations at Home by Jennifer Hamilton which was created for a halloween party (but it can also be used for any woodland or owl themed baby showers, birthdays etc.). I love everything about this party, especially the names of the treats - truffles of prey, full moon pies and wise old brownies. Oh and, I think the "full moon" paper lantern is a great idea.

This is what Jennifer has to say about her table:
“My dessert table was the spotlight, and all of the food was owl themed. I made the cake pops….my 1st cake pop experience!! They were devil’s food cake on the inside and I made a batch in chocolate and a batch in orange (to match my invitation). They turned out great and were a HUGE hit at the party. I also made the owl cookies, owl brownies, and mice truffles. The owl brownies (“wise old brownies”) were inspired by Dylan of Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York. I added a piece of sheet moss in the middle to give it more of an “outdoorsy” feel and draped the table in brown burlap.  Black fabric was the backdrop and a large yellow paper lantern hung for a full moon”.

I hope you find plenty of inspiratons, and that you have a spook-tacular Halloween party!

I just found your blog yesterday while I was looking for owl printables, and I had to add you to my blogroll. Owls are one of my favorite animals - love the backpack/lunchbox you linked in the sidebar :)
