Deedee Cheriel

I shall leave you for the weekend with these amazing paintings by Nalini "Deedee Cheriel" depicting "fantastic narratives where a beautiful & symbiotic relationship is formed between humans and animals or hybrids of the two". I am blown away by the work of this Los Angeles based artist who had an Hindu upbringing and a big influence of folk-art and landscaped of the Pacific Northwest. Her main subject matter is creatures with animal heads and human bodies, owls, roaring bears in bold dream-like setting representing people in artist's life, and the animals used represent emotional states or personal characteristics.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend. Take care and see you in October!
