Future Shelter

Future Shelter is a design studio run by the husband and wife team of Adam Coffey and Jane King in North Perth, Australia. They create badges, textile, lampshades, brooches and more for their growing clients in Australia, the USA, Europe, New Zealand and Hong Kong. They prefer recyclable options when and where possible, and use reclaimed wood for these adorable laser cut brooches.

Hadley Hutton

I am smitten by Hadley Hutton's beautiful dreamy art and illustrations. Her pieces are layered with colored pencil and watercolor pencil drawings, ink, archival digital media, pastels and encaustics. Hadley is incredibly talented artist who believes in trying again and again to get closer to achieving perfection and considers this quality as a process that "...helps foster creativity for an artist. Or, to be more precise, the ability to put negative results out of mind keeps the creative process unblocked."

DIY Owl Pin Cushion

Kim and Kris of The DIY Dish created this wonderful video on how to make an owl pin cushion. You can the same instruction for making an owl pillow, just increase the template size. It's so easy and simple that I feel tempted to try it myself. You can too! The pdf file can be downloaded here.

Jesi Haack, one of the shower hostesses, created this video which I enjoyed thoroughly. I hope you will too!
